Have to admit not to have thought too heavily about this before - looking just through my Websphere MQ glasses; but this is a significant issue, when I now want to create interoperability between .NET land and a varity of messaging solutions how open to me in the J EE space.

a while now - so not really news but I think this is a really smart
move on the part of JBoss. One of the key weaknesses of the EAI/ESB
solutions out there by the big vendors is the ease of use of the
setting up the Rules for the Verification and Enrichment of in-bound data.
IBM now seem to have a Rules Engine sitting with Websphere ESB, inside what they are calling WebSphere Process Server.
There are a number of other open source rules engines out there but I haven’t really been keeping up with them after finding drools
